How to delete your account and what data is removed or retained.

How to delete your account
You can delete your account directly inside the app.
- 1Open the Transcript app.
- 2Go to the Account tab.
- 3Tap Delete Account.
- 4Confirm the popup, then press Delete.
Notes
- Account deletion is immediate for active systems.
- If you experience issues deleting your account, email us from the address used to sign in.
What gets deleted
- Your authentication record (Google OAuth identifier) used to sign you in.
- Any account linkage stored for authentication purposes.
What we don't collect
- We do not collect or store advertising identifiers.
- We do not sell or share personal data.
Data retention
Limited security/operational logs (e.g., to prevent abuse and maintain service reliability)
May be retained for up to 30 days and then removed on a rolling basis.
Backups
Account data is deleted immediately from active systems. Any residual encrypted backup copies (if present) are removed on a rolling basis within up to 30 days.
Remove local device data
- To remove local app data from your device, uninstall the app.
- Optionally, clear the app storage from your device settings before uninstalling.
- You can also revoke Google access from your Google Account settings if desired.
